“This program has been submitted to the Society for Human Resource Management and the HR Certification Institute for review”.

Human resources leaders hear it often: Employees want wellness benefits. Whether those are in the form of more flexible work schedules, exercise programs, mental health resources, or financial benefits, employees want support in balancing their increasingly busy lives.

However, implementing a wellness program isn’t a one-step solution. It requires a culture shift, where the organization integrates employee well-being, risk management and safety—not just as standalone programs, but in all of the policies, programs, procedures, and behaviors the company abides by. The only way to make this change is with the full buy-in of the company’s most senior executives.

By the end of this session, participants will:

  • assess the impact of worker health across several disciplines (e.g. employee safety, productivity, engagement, etc.)
  • redefine the concept of "Wellness" by exploring the concept of the Total Worker Health (TWH) Model: Connecting the dots between corporate culture, employee well being & workplace safety
  • understand the five critical TWH program elements needed to ensure buy in from the top;
  • learn the important legal & compliance considerations unique to workplace wellness programs
