From wellness to well-being: Build a multi-dimensional well-being program to engage a larger employee population. Discuss holistic health that includes considering the social determinants of health. Avoid the one-size-fits-all approach: Focus on a tailored approach to help reduce costs and build a healthy workforce

 

By the end of this session, participants will:

  • Define dimensions of Well-Being other than Physical as well as gain insight related to the impact of Social Determinants on overall Health.
  • Understand the business value of offering a multi-dimensional Well-Being program.
  • Understand practical steps for expanding programming to include many dimensions of Well-Being

About our Speaker:

Deborah is currently the Clinical Lead for Integrated Health at MVP Health Care. In her former role, she was the leader of health and well-being strategy. She and her team consult with employer groups to manage the development, execution and evaluation of sustainable workplace wellness programs. Prior to working in healthcare, Deborah spent a decade working in human resources in both for profit and non-profit settings. Deborah holds undergraduate degrees in Economics and Nursing and received a Master of Science in Health Promotion Management from Nebraska Methodist College. She is a Registered Professional Nurse and a Master Certified Health Education Specialist. Deborah is passionate about collaborating with employers and community organizations to create healthy environments and well-being opportunities. She volunteers for the New York State Mentoring Program which supports at-risk youth to prevent school dropout.
