Human Resources Coordinator

Performs human resources activities in an effective and efficient manner to ensure employee records and documentation are in compliance with company requirements and state and federal labor laws.  

  • Process hourly new hires and terminations for all company locations 
  • Maintain hourly personnel files, including benefits and health files  
  • Responsible for reconciliation of insurance accounts
  • Responsible for weekly payroll processing, entering and transmitting data and maintaining payroll files
  • Tracks paid time off for salaried and hourly employees
  • Assist in coordinating recruitment activities including attending job fairs.

  • May be required to attend meetings at various company locations
  • May be required to conduct phone screen interviews or assist with face to face interviews
  • Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Normally requires an Associate’s degree in business administration, or the equivalent thereof.
  •  Two years or more of human resources/payroll related work experience to demonstrate decision making skills. 
  • Technical proficiency using Microsoft Office products and other proprietary software.  
  • HRCI Certified Professional (PHR) and/or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credentials
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Must be able to travel independently and overnight
  • Must be willing to work hours beyond those considered “normal”
  • Able to maintain confidential information
  • Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
