The ALICE Workshop offered by United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes is an interactive, simulation-based experience designed to build awareness of the challenges faced by ALICE households—those who are Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. Participants are assigned real-life family scenarios and must make financial and life decisions within a limited budget, helping them better understand the daily trade-offs and barriers working families face despite being employed.
The workshop is intended to foster empathy, inform community and organizational decision-making, and encourage strategies that support financial stability for individuals and families in the region.
The ALICE Workshop equips HR professionals with real-world insight into the financial realities of their workforce, enabling them to design more effective, equitable, and sustainable people strategies.
